Women's Soccer earned its fourth conference win of the season with a commanding 7–0 shutout over Glendale College on Friday, October 17.
With the victory, the Owls improve to 6-5-2 overall and 4-1-2 in conference play, while Glendale drops to 0-10-3 overall and 0-7 in conference.
Citrus set the tone early when Alexia Leon found the back of the net in the 3rd minute, assisted by Bridget Ward, for her third goal of the season. Angelina Gonzalez followed with back-to-back goals — her first two of the season — scoring in the 36th minute off an assist from Mikani Telles, and again in the 42nd minute unassisted, putting Citrus up 3–0 at halftime.
The Owls dominated possession in the opening period, firing 18 shots while holding Glendale without a single attempt.
In the second half, Andrea Meza extended the lead with an unassisted goal in the 53rd minute, her third of the season. Layla Serrato added an unassisted strike in the 68th minute, and just one minute later, Aubrianna Mejia netted her first goal of the year to make it 6–0. Bridget Ward capped off the scoring with an unassisted goal in the 69th minute — her fourth of the season — securing Citrus' largest win of the year and most goals in a match since 2022.
Citrus outshot Glendale 34–0, including 16 shots in the second half alone, as the Owls' defense remained unbreakable.
The Owls return to action today, Tuesday, October 21, when they travel to LA Valley for a 4 p.m. conference matchup.
