Late Goal Spoils Citrus Lead in 1-1 Draw at West LA

Women's Soccer moved to 4-5-2 overall and 2-1-2 in Western State Conference-South play after earning a 1-1 draw on the road against West LA College last Friday, October 10. West LA now sits at 4-3-5 overall and 2-1-2 in conference.

The Owls struck first in the 17th minute when Andrea Meza found the back of the net off a well-placed assist from Alexia Leon. Citrus held strong defensively for most of the match, keeping the Wildcats scoreless until the 87th minute, when West LA managed to equalize and secure the tie at home.

Citrus will return to Glendora on Tuesday, October 14, hosting Bakersfield College at 6 p.m. Rain is in the forecast, setting up an intriguing conference matchup under potentially slick conditions.
