Owls Earn First Road Victory with 2-0 Win at Norco

Citrus College Women's Soccer picked up its first road win of the season on Tuesday, September 9, defeating Norco College 2-0.

The opening half was evenly matched, with the Owls taking two shots but unable to break through. Goalkeeper Liliana Miramontes kept the game scoreless, recording three key saves before halftime.

Citrus broke the deadlock in the 74th minute when Bridget Ward scored her second goal of the season, assisted by Alexia Leon. The Owls sealed the win late in the match as Andrea Meza found the back of the net in the 86th minute—also her second goal of the season—with Leon earning her second assist of the night and fourth of the year.

With the victory, the Owls improve to 2-2 on the season and now turn their attention to another road test at San Bernardino Valley College on Friday, September 19 at 6 p.m.
