Citrus College Men's Soccer fell to Bakersfield College on Tuesday, October 28, by a score of 3-1.
With the loss, the Owls move to 1-15-1 overall and 1-5 in conference play, while the Renegades improve to 9-4-4 overall and 3-1-1 in conference.
Bakersfield struck early, scoring in the 2nd minute off a deflected shot inside the Citrus 18-yard box. The Owls answered in the 15th minute when Alan Morales connected with Jerry Morones, who netted his second goal of the season to even the score at 1-1. The Renegades regained the lead in the 21st minute, taking a 2-1 advantage into halftime.
In the second half, Bakersfield controlled possession, outshooting Citrus 13-2. The Renegades extended their lead in the 59th minute with a free-kick goal to make it 3-1, the eventual final score.
Citrus will now travel to face No. 1–ranked Santa Monica College on Thursday, October 30, for a 12:30 p.m. conference matchup.
