Owls Close Season Strong at SoCal Championships
Citrus College Cross Country competed in the 2025 Southern California Cross Country Championships on Friday, November 7 at NTC Park in San Diego, hosted by San Diego Mesa College.
The Owls' Men's team placed 24th overall with a team score of 698. Jonathan Evangeltisa led the Owls with a 24:57.30 finish, placing 153rd overall. Right behind him was Juan Esteva, who set another personal record for the second straight week, improving on his WSC Championship time from last week with a 24:58.95. Jacob Flores was third across for Citrus, finishing in 26:15.00 (158th overall), while Louis Amador crossed in 26:47.03 for 163rd overall.
The Owls close the year proud of the effort and progression, improving from last year's finish at the SoCal Championships. Another successful season is officially in the books for Citrus Cross Country under Head Coach Alan Waddington and Assistant Coach Antonella Curinga.
