Citrus College Cross Country competed at the Manny Bautista Invitational last Friday, October 10, at NTC Park in San Diego, hosted by San Diego Mesa College. The course at NTC Park will also serve as the site of the upcoming SoCal Championships in November, giving the Owls valuable experience on the route.

In the Women's 5K race, freshman Berenice Godinez placed 179th overall with a time of 38:08.65.

On the Men's side, freshman Juan Esteva led the Owls in the 4-mile race, finishing 158th overall with a time of 25:27.10. Jacob Flores followed close behind, clocking a season-best 25:50.97 to place 162nd, while Louis Amador rounded out Citrus's top three with a 26:25.70 finish, good for 168th overall.

The Owls will have a week off before returning to action at the Western State Conference Championships on Friday, October 24, in Woodland Hills, California.
