Owls Race in Golden West Central Park Classic

Citrus College Cross Country raced at the Golden West Central Park Classic in Huntington Beach last Friday, September 19, hosted by Golden West College.

In the women's 5K, freshman Berenice Godinez finished in 38:03.21, placing 115th overall.

On the men's side, the Owls placed 16th as a team with a score of 436. Jonathan Evangelista led Citrus with a time of 23:43.94 (81st overall), followed by his brother David Evangelista at 24:23.37 (103rd). Louis Amador crossed in 25:11.28 (122nd), while freshman Juan Esteva posted a 26:47.17 and Jacob Flores finished in 27:52.98.

Citrus will return to action on Friday, September 26, traveling to Moorpark for the WSC Final Course Review.
