Owls Compete at WSC Preview in Ventura

Citrus College Cross Country returned to Arroyo Verde Park in Ventura—the site of the season-opening Pirate Invitational on August 29—for the WSC Preview on Friday, September 12.

The Owls' men's team placed 9th overall with a score of 266. Sophomore David Evangelista led the way, running 26:26.1 to finish 59th overall and improving his time on the course by more than a minute since August. Jonathan Evangelista followed close behind, clocking 27:07.6 for 62nd place. Jacob Flores ran a season-best 27:44.9 as the Owls' third finisher, while Louis Amador (27:53.3) and Juan Esteva (28:12.2) secured 70th and 71st overall to round out the scoring five.

Citrus will race again on Friday, September 19, at the Golden West Central Park Classic in Huntington Beach, CA.
