UPDATE: Volleyball Back In Playoffs for First Time Since 2006
Glendora, CA -- For the first time since 2006, the Citrus College Volleyball team has qualified for the California Community College Athletic Association post-season. The Owls earned the #13 Seed in the South and will be taking on the #4 Seed UPDATE at Orange Coast College on Tuesday evening in Costa Mesa at 7:00 PM.
The Owls finished third in what turned out to be one of the top conferences in the State this year the Western State Conference South Division. The WSC South is also home to the #1 (LA Pierce) seed and #2 (Bakersfield) seed in this year's playoffs. Citrus went 14-8 overall this season and 8-4 in conference play, both the best finishes under Citrus College Head Volleyball Coach Shin Jung.
Citrus will be taking on the Pirates of Orange Coast College. OCC went 18-2 overall and 12-2 in Orange Empire Conference play. The Pirates have lost two of their last four headed into the playoffs.
