Women’s Golf Finishes 7th at WSC Finals; Tan Earns All-Conference Honors
Citrus College Women's Golf placed seventh overall at the Western State Conference (WSC) Finals, held Sunday, October 26, and Monday, October 27, hosted by Allan Hancock College. The two-day event featured round one at Cypress Ridge Golf Course on Sunday and round two at Santa Maria Country Club on Monday.
Sophomore Bianca Tan led the Owls with an impressive overall score of 181, shooting a 95 in round one at Cypress Ridge before bouncing back with an 86 on day two at Santa Maria—good for fourth overall in the round. Tan's consistent play throughout the season earned her All-Western State Conference Team honors, finishing the year with an average round score of 89.29.
Also contributing for the Owls were Nicole Lowenstein, who shot a 265 overall (123 in round one, 142 in round two); Lusha De, who finished with a 266 overall (132, 134); and Chloe Kouyoumdjian, who carded a 270 overall (128, 142).
Citrus will now await the announcement of qualifiers for the Southern California Regional Championships, scheduled for November 9–10 at Olivas Links Golf Course in Ventura, California.
