Valley Glen, CA -- After Wednesday night's thrilling overtime win at Antelope Valley College, the Citrus College Women's Basketball team couldn't quite sustain their momentum into Saturday's contest with first place and State #7 LA Valley College. In the end, the Monarchs were too much as Citrus dropped a 64-79 contest.
Sophomore Olivia Montgomery paced the Owls with a game high 25 points. Montgomery also hauled in eight rebounds. Sophomore Jaelyn Wilson notched her 12th double-double of the season with 16 and 10. As a team, Citrus shot 46.2% from the floor, but turned the ball over 14 times on the night.
With the loss, Citrus drops to 15-10 overall and 6-5 in WSC South play. The Owls will close out their 2013-2014 regular season on Wednesday when they host West LA at 5:00 PM.
