The National Fastpitch Coaches Association has named Alivia Martinez a 2026 California Junior College All-American following a historic sophomore season for Citrus College Softball.

Martinez batted .457 in 151 at-bats, recording 69 hits, 71 runs scored — a Citrus College single-season record — 43 RBIs and 38 stolen bases. She also totaled 21 doubles, seven triples, eight home runs and 23 walks while posting a .544 on-base percentage and an .848 slugging percentage.

On defense, Martinez anchored the Owls' outfield with 101 putouts and nine assists while compiling a .973 fielding percentage.

Her standout campaign earned her Western State Conference South First Team All-Conference honors and helped lead Citrus College to a 28-15 overall record, the program's best finish in a decade, along with the Owls' first 3C2A Southern California Regional Round One victory in more than 10 years.

Martinez also etched her name throughout the Citrus College record book during the 2026 season, becoming the program's all-time leader in career at-bats (278), runs scored (112) and stolen bases (84). She is also the first Citrus College softball player to earn NFCA All-American honors since 2017.

In addition to her All-American recognition, Martinez collected two major NFCA California Junior College awards this week. On May 14, she was named the recipient of the New Balance/NFCA Golden Shoe Award, presented annually to California Junior College softball's top base stealer.

Martinez stole 38 bases in 40 attempts during the season, highlighted by nine multi-steal games and two contests with four stolen bases — first against Glendale College on March 10 and again versus Allan Hancock College on March 13.

She was also selected Thursday as a recipient of the 2026 Cal JC Rawlings Gold Glove Award, presented by the NFCA. Martinez becomes one of just three players this season to earn both All-American and Gold Glove honors.
