Four Owls Earn All-Conference Honors After Competitive 2025 Season

Despite a challenging 6–17 season and a narrow 13–12 loss to Santa Monica College in the Western State Conference Championship Tournament in November, Men's Water Polo closed the year with four athletes earning All-Conference recognition. Sophomore Trace Faskell secured First-Team honors for the second straight year, sophomore Liam Ross repeated as a Second-Team selection, and freshmen Jason Nonis and Morrison Villa each earned Honorable Mention.

Faskell, a sophomore utility standout from Los Osos High School, delivered a stellar second-year campaign. He appeared in all 23 games while finishing among the conference leaders with 99 goals (3rd), 68 steals (3rd), and 52 assists (5th). He also added 27 exclusions drawn and 13 blocks, anchoring both ends of the pool for the Owls.

Ross, a sophomore attacker from Rancho Cucamonga High School, built on a strong freshman season and earned Second-Team honors for the second time. Ross tallied 94 goals (5th in conference), led the conference with 71 assists, and contributed 69 exclusions drawn, 31 steals, and four blocks.

Nonis, a freshman goalkeeper out of Don Lugo High School, made an immediate impact in his first collegiate season. He appeared in all 23 games, recorded 238 saves—second most in the conference—and posted six wins, ranking fourth among conference goalies.

Another Don Lugo product, freshman utility player Morrison Villa, capped his first season with an All-Conference Honorable Mention nod. Villa started all 23 games and filled the stat sheet with 49 goals, 30 assists, 24 steals, 20 exclusions drawn, and 13 blocks.
