Men’s Water Polo In Post-Season for Third Straight Year
Glendora, CA - For the third straight year, the Citrus College Men's Water Polo program has qualified for the California Community College Athletic Association Southern California Regionals. The Owls earned the #9 overall seed and will be pitted against #8 Los Angeles Valley College.
It's the second straight year that the Owls and Monarchs will lock horns in their opening match-up of the regionals. In last year's meeting, LA Valley bounced Citrus 17-11. It's also the second straight game that the two schools will play against each other. The Monarchs, who were seeded #4 headed into the 2016 WSC Championships, defeated #2 Citrus 11-9 on Saturday afternoon at Cuesta College. Citrus had defeated LA Valley earlier this year at home 13-11.
Thursday afternoon's tilt promises to be an exciting one. The winner of that match-up will take on SoCal #1 Golden West College on Friday. The match-up between Citrus College and LA Valley College is set for a 2:00 PM start on the campus of Golden West College on Thursday November 10th.
