he Citrus College men's soccer team kicked off its 2025 campaign with a hard-fought 1-1 tie on the road against Oxnard College on Friday, August 22.

Both teams begin the season with identical 0-0-1 records, and the Owls earned a positive result against one of the 3C2A's historically strong programs.

Citrus struck first in the 30th minute when freshman forward Ashton Sangadeo found the back of the net off an assist from sophomore midfielder Alan Morales. The Condors evened the score in the second half, but Citrus goalkeeper Hector Arteaga, a sophomore, kept the match level with a strong performance—tallying six saves, three in each half.

The Owls return to action on Tuesday, August 26, when they host Imperial Valley College in their home opener at 3:30 p.m. inside Citrus Stadium.
