Owls Place Fifth at WSC Championships, Qualify for SoCal Regionals

Citrus College men's golf finished fifth at the Western State Conference Championships, held Monday, April 27 at Sundale Country Club in Bakersfield, with a two-round total of 597 (295-302).

Andrew Gahshan led the Owls at 1-over-par 145, carding rounds of 72 and 73, while Javier Alvarado followed at 148 (72-76) to give Citrus a strong one-two presence atop the lineup.

Will Middleton added a steady 151 with rounds of 75 and 76, and Thomas Holstrom contributed a 153 (76-77) to round out the team scoring.

Cameron Vallaro finished at 162 (77-85), and Angel Caro posted a 166 (82-84) to complete the Owls' lineup.

With the result, Citrus qualified for the 3C2A Men's Golf Southern California Regionals, set for Monday, May 4 at Olivas Links Golf Course in Ventura.
