Gahshan Leads Citrus to Ninth-Place Finish at Riverside Invitational

Citrus College Men's Golf competed at the Riverside Invitational on Monday, February 23, placing ninth overall with a combined score of +25.

The Owls finished ninth in the 16-team field at Victoria Club in Riverside, CA, with Andrew Gahshan leading the way at 2-over, the team's lowest round of the day and good for 10th individually. Javier Alvarado and Will Middelton each carded 7-over, while Cameron Vallaro shot 9-over to round out the counting scores. TJ Holstrom (10-over) and Matt Carbajal (23-over) also competed for Citrus. Reedley College won the tournament at 1-over, followed by COC at 2-over and College of the Canyons at 14-over. Citrus finished one stroke behind a tie for seventh and 16 strokes off the winning pace.

The Owls will compete in the WSC #3 next Monday, March 2 which will be held at Cypress Ridge Golf Course, in Arroyo Grnade, CA, hosted by Allan Hancock College.
