The 2024-25 Citrus College men's basketball team has been selected as the California Community College Athletic Association Scholar Team for the 2024-25 academic year. The Scholar Team Award is the highest academic team honor awarded annually by the 3C2A. To qualify, all team members must achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher while also demonstrating above-average performance in intercollegiate competition. The Owls will be recognized at the 3C2A Scholar-Athlete Luncheon, held as part of the annual 3C2A Convention in Burbank on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.

The 2024-25 Citrus College men's basketball compiled a 3.47 team GPA while posting a 29-3 record — the program's most wins in a season since its 2008 state championship team. Citrus College went a perfect 14-0 in conference play to capture its third consecutive Western State Conference South title. The Owls also advanced to the 3C2A Men's Basketball State Championship Final Four and had five players earn all-conference honors: Tyler Isaak, KJ Perry, JJ Mitchell, Brady Cook and Blake Ballard. Isaak and Perry were also named to the CCCMBCA All-State Team.
