19 Former Citrus College Football Athletes Set for Season Debuts at the Next Level
Nineteen former Citrus College football players from the 2024 roster are preparing to make their season debuts with their new universities this fall.
Evan Walls will begin his NAIA career with Ottawa University Arizona on September 6 against Wayland Baptist. Walls appeared in eight games for the Owls over the 2023 and 2024 seasons, making a strong impact on the offensive line.
Dominic Rausch, a defensive lineman who tallied 20 tackles, 4.5 sacks, and 4.5 tackles for loss last season, will make his NCAA Division I debut for Northern Arizona University on August 30 against No. 11–ranked Arizona State.
Sean Persson, a tight end who appeared in eight games last season and posted 26 receptions for 364 yards and six touchdowns, will debut for the University of Toledo on August 30 against Kentucky.
Emmanuel Mogbolu moves on to the University of Findlay after recording 14 receptions for 166 yards and two touchdowns in 2024.
Salvador Morales, who played in four games for the Owls last season (three catches for 19 yards), will debut for Robert Morris University on August 30 against West Virginia. On the other sideline will be former teammate Keenan Eck, who recorded 26 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss, six sacks, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in nine games for Citrus last season.
Hassani Hawkins, a defensive back who posted five tackles in five games last season, will suit up for the University of Redlands this fall.
Brian Glenn Jr. heads to Missouri Valley College, making his NAIA debut on September 6 against Clarke University.
Jordan Garcia will debut for UC Davis on August 23 against Mercer University. Garcia appeared in 17 games over the past two seasons, totaling 56 tackles, eight tackles for loss, three sacks, one forced fumble, and one pass breakup.
Kyle Ferm, who recorded 50 tackles, nine tackles for loss, two sacks, one interception, and one pass breakup in eight games last season, will debut for No. 16–ranked Southern Methodist University on August 30 against East Texas A&M.
Kam Forest heads to Western Oregon University, where he will make his NCAA Division II debut on September 6 against Southern Oregon. Forest played in eight games at defensive back in 2024, recording 10 tackles and eight pass breakups.
Hunter Corbin will debut for West Texas A&M University on August 28 against Western Colorado. Over the past two seasons, Corbin appeared in 20 games for Citrus, posting 113 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, three interceptions, and one pass breakup.
Nolan Byrd, a long snapper who appeared in four games last season, will debut for Lincoln University (Mo.) on August 30 against Lincoln (Calif.).
Julian Borrayo, a wide receiver with 27 receptions for 321 yards and two touchdowns in 17 career games, will debut for the University of Redlands on September 6 against George Fox University.
Patrick Ward will make his NCAA Division III debut for Cluver Stockton University on Saturday, September 6 against Midamerica Nazarene University.
Andrew Arriola, a defensive lineman, joins the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, making his debut on August 30 against Sul Ross State. Arriola played in nine games last season, recording nine tackles, one tackle for loss, and one fumble recovery.
Ethen Erickson, an offensive lineman who played in six games in 2024, will debut for Weber State University on August 30 against James Madison.
Ridge Christlieb, who caught 15 passes for 152 yards and a touchdown in 11 games over the past two seasons, will debut for Long Island University on August 30 against No. 15–ranked Florida.
Christian Sampson, a defensive back for the Owls last season, appeared in nine games and recorded 15 tackles, six pass breakups, two interceptions, 1.5 tackles for loss, and one blocked kick. He will make his NCAA Division I debut with Southern Utah University on Saturday, August 30, when the Thunderbirds face Idaho State.
The Owls open their own 2025 season on Saturday, August 30, against Chaffey College at 6 p.m.
