Citrus College Baseball standout sophomore infielder Dominic Torrez has been named to the 2026 ABCA/Rawlings Pacific Association Division Gold Glove Team at third base. Although he played multiple defensive positions for the Owls, Torrez spent the majority of the season manning the hot corner.

The Citrus Hill High School product helped anchor the Owls' defense at both third base and shortstop during a historic campaign in which Citrus finished 33-13 overall, recording the program's most wins since 2009, its first 30-win season since 2003 and a berth in the 3C2A Super Regionals.

Torrez, who also earned Western State Conference South Gold Glove honors, consistently came through with key defensive plays, totaling 33 putouts and 95 assists while helping turn eight double plays and posting an impressive .977 fielding percentage.

At the plate, Torrez was equally impactful, batting .311 with 38 hits, 25 runs scored, 21 stolen bases (fourth in the conference), 13 RBIs, 11 walks, eight doubles, one triple and one home run.

Torrez has committed to California State University, Bakersfield, where he will continue his collegiate career at the NCAA Division I level.
