Citrus Cross Country traveled north to the central coast last Friday to compete in the Tour de Cuesta, hosted by Cuesta College. As Fighting Owl fans have become accustomed, Marissa Montoya rocked the top time for the Citrus runners, with a 21:38.3 and a 9th overall finish. She was followed just 2 minutes behind by Aracelli Cativo, who posted a time of 23:40.2 for a 25th place finish amongst all runners.

Although the team results weren't quite what the Owls were striving for, the Citrus runners continue to put up good individual improvements throughout the season.

The next race for Citrus will be the Western State Conference Finals at Kern County Soccer Park in Bakersfield, where they will compete against the top runners in the state for a shot at the state title. The race is on October 20th with a 1:00 PM start time.
