Glendora, CA - The Citrus College Athletics Department is pleased to announce that it will once again be fielding a men's swim team beginning in the Spring of 2018. The Owls last fielded a men's swim team back in 2010. Head Women's Swim Coach Jennifer Spalding will also helm the men's program.

"We are pleased to be able to offer men's swimming as a varsity sport once again here at Citrus College," said Dean of Kinesiology and Athletics Jody Wise. "We're excited to be able to give Citrus students another opportunity to fulfill their competitive ambitions while providing them with another chance to showcase their abilities in hopes of earning a scholarship to four-year universities."

Previously, the Citrus men competed in the Western State Conference for 15 seasons as a swim program, and for several years prior to that as a member of the Foothill Conference. The Owls won one WSC title back in 1997.

"This is an exciting time for the Citrus College Aquatics teams," Spalding said. "The addition of men's swim will bolster our entire program, and will provide more matriculation opportunities for our student-athletes."
