    Glendora, CA - Citrus College sophomore women’s basketball player Jessica Rosas has signed a scholarship offer with NAIA member Bacone College in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Rosas is the second member from the 2016-2017 Citrus College Women’s Basketball team to sign a scholarship offer.
  • Brown Signs With Grace University

    Glendora, CA - Sophomore forward Marisa Brown has signed a scholarship offer with NAIA member Grace University in Omaha, Nebraska. Brown was a 1st team All-Western State Conference East Division honoree in 2016-2017.

    Barstow, CA - It wasn’t always pretty, but the end results was exactly what the Citrus College Women’s Basketball needed on Saturday evening. The Owls shot just 21.6% from the floor, but finished their 2016-2017 the right way with a 41-39 win over host Barstow College.
  • Owls Can’t Dig Out of Slow Offense in Loss to AVC

    Glendora, CA - The Citrus College Women’s Basketball team couldn’t dig out of a 14 for 60 shooting performance from the floor and 1 for 11 showing from downtown on Wednesday night when they hosted first place Antelope Valley College. The Owls trailed by just three points late in the fourth quarter, but couldn’t get the appropriate response in a 47-38 loss.
  • Owls Upend Rams

    Victorville, CA - The Citrus College Women’s Basketball team picked up their second win of the WSC East season on Wednesday night when they upended host Victor Valley College 68-57. The Owls out rebounded the Rams and shot 42.9% from the floor to secure the win.
  • Valley Too Much Again for Owls

    Glendora, CA – The Citrus College Women’s Basketball team once again suffered another slow start, and couldn’t keep up with a more powerful Los Angeles Valley College team. The Owls did manage to outscore the Monarchs at the second half by two points, but their 23 point halftime deficit was too much to overcome.
  • Owls Lose in OT to Barstow

    Glendora, CA - Things just didn’t break the Owls way on Saturday night when they hosted Barstow College in WSC East play. Citrus was looking for just their second conference win of the year, but were instead sent back to the locker room with their fourth loss. The Owls and Vikings played four and half periods to determine a winner, and they needed all of 44 minutes and 59.7 seconds to determine in Citrus’ 84-85 setback.
  • Three Out of Four Isn’t Good Enough Again for Owls

    Lancaster, CA – For three out of pretty much every four quarters, the Citrus College Women’s Basketball team has on average kept pace with their opponents. The same was true on Wednesday night when the Owls headed out to Antelope Valley College for a WSC East showdown. What’s mostly been true throughout their 2016-2017 campaign also came to fruition when the Owls gave up a -9 second quarter in what was ultimately the turning point in a 54-41 loss to Marauders.
  • Owls Come Up Short at Glendale

    Glendale, CA – The Citrus College Women’s Basketball team tried to rally from an 11 point first quarter deficit early Saturday evening, but came up just short at Glendale College. The Owls pulled two within two at the end of the third quarter, but couldn’t pull it out in the fourth in Citrus’ 44-52 loss.
  • Defense Drives Owls

    Glendora, CA - The Citrus College Women’s Basketball team put together arguably their most impressive defensive display of the season on Wednesday night when they hosted Victor Valley College in WSC East play. The result? Citrus held the State’s leading scorer to seven points below her average including three total points in the second half, and the rest of the team to just 17.8% shooting from the floor in a commanding 70-35 victory over the Rams.
  • Owls Outmuscled by State #16 LA Valley in WSC East Opener

    Valley Glen, CA - The Citrus College Women’s Basketball team drew the toughest start to WSC East play on Saturday afternoon, when they opened up conference play against State #16 LA Valley College. The Owls were outmuscled by the Monarchs, getting out rebounded by 14 and outscored in the paint by 14 in a 44-64 loss.
  • Owls Swarm Glass and Wildcats in Non-Conference Finale

    Glendora, CA - The Citrus College Women’s Basketball team wrapped up non-conference play on Wednesday evening with a convincing 44-29 victory over visiting West Los Angeles College. The Owls did it by swarming the glass, out-rebounding the Wildcats 59-33 including a 25-10 margin on the offensive side, and by swarming West LA on defense, holding them to just five first half points and 22.2% shooting for the game.
  • Owls Stop Five Game Slide; Beat Old WSC-South Rival Canyons

    Santa Clarita, CA - The Citrus College Women’s Basketball defeated an old rival on Saturday evening, but more importantly stopped a five game slide. The Owls took on College of the Canyons, who is no longer in the same WSC Division as Citrus College.
  • Owls Upended by Ventura Again

    Santa Clarita, CA - The Citrus College Women’s Basketball team faced State #? Ventura College for the second time this year on Friday afternoon. The result was unfortunately much of the same as the Pirates lead wire to wire in a 45-78 setback for the Owls.
  • Women’s Basketball Exits West LA Tourney After Second Day

    Culver City, CA - The Citrus College Women’s Basketball exited the Wild West Shootout hosted by West Los Angeles College after the second day this past weekend. Citrus opened the weekend up with a tall task, taking on State #14 Ventura College. After a loss to the Pirates, the Owls rebounded with a strong showing against NorCal #13 Yuba College, leading at halftime, before faltering by 11.
  • Owls Drop Early Lead; Falls to Chaffey 51-54

    Glendora, CA - The Citrus College Women’s Basketball team couldn’t have asked for a better start to their CCCAA meeting with Chaffey College on Saturday afternoon. The Owls held the visiting Panthers to 1 for 15 shooting from the floor in the first quarter, and converted 56.3% of their attempts as they jumped out to a 20-7 lead. That didn’t hold though as the Owls would be outscored 34-17 over the next two quarters en route to a 51-54 setback.
  • Owls Finish 6th at Charger Classic

    Cypress, CA - The Citrus College Women's Basketball team participated in the Lady Charger Classic hosted by Cypress College over the weekend. The Owls finished in 6th place, going 1-2, and finding plenty of positives to build off of as the season progresses.
  • Owls Stumble In Home Opener

    Glendora, CA - It wasn’t the homecoming the Citrus College Women’s Basketball team had envisioned on Tuesday evening, but it was another step in their journey that is the 2016-2017 season. The Owls committed a season high in turnovers, and were outscored in each of the final three quarters in a 91-46 loss to visiting and SoCal #14 Los Angeles Trade-Tech College 91-46.
  • Poor Second Quarter Contributes to Fourth Straight Loss for Women’s Basketball

    San Diego, CA - The Citrus College Women’s Basketball team trailed by just two points at the end of the first quarter, and would outscore Saturday’s opponent by a total of eight points in the third and fourth quarters. Still the Owls suffered their fourth straight loss at San Diego City College, thanks to a poor second quarter, where the Owls shot just 23.1% from the floor and committed 30% of their turnovers in a 59-69 loss.
  • Owls Bounced by Orange Coast

    San Jacinto, CA - The Citrus College Women’s Basketball team was bounced out of the San Jacinto Lion’s Club Lady Eagle Tip-Off Tournament in the consolation round by Orange Coast College on Saturday afternoon. With two of their top bigs sidelined, the Owls got outrebounded by 16 and have up 42 points in the paint in a 77-46 loss.
  • Owls Fall in Mt. San Jacinto Tourney Opener
    November 11, 2016
    San Jacinto, CA - The Citrus College Women’s Basketball team opened up play on Friday afternoon against Chaffey College in the San Jacinto Lion’s Club Lady Eagle Tip-Off Tournament. The Owls were outscored in each of the first three quarters in a 50-75 loss to the Panthers.
  • Owls Go 1-2 in Season Opening Tournament
    November 06, 2016
    Walnut, CA - The Citrus College Women’s Basketball team opened up their 2016-2017 season over the weekend when they participated in the Linda G. Smith Memorial Tip-Off Tournament hosted by Mt. San Antonio College. The Owls opened up with a 48-68 loss to Rio Hondo College, before rallying with a 87-59 win over San Bernardino Valley College in the consolation semi-finals. The weekend ended against former conference rival College of the Canyons, and the Owls falling 62-70.
